The movie franchise based off a theme park ride continues.
It's hard to believe, but it's already been five years since the last Pirates movie released in theatres. Whatever you may think of them, the films have a wide audience, probably thanks in part to Johnny Depp doing what he does. Now the fifth is set to release in 2017, making this film the longest one coming.
Once again, a cursed undead pirate has a bone to pick with everybody's favorite Captain Jack Sparrow. This one goes by Captain Salazar, a Spaniard, we presume, who is afflicted with with a skin condition that causes him to leak black ooze. He also channels Christian Bale's Batman, talking in an affectatious low growl that makes it difficult to understand him.
