Warner Bros. recently dropped a new teaser for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie.
The one-minute teaser trailer of Wonder Woman introduces the audience to the strong title character and also gives a first impression of her relation to Steven Trevor.
The new DC superhero movie will star Gal Gadot as the Amazon Diana, later to become Wonder Woman. The Israeli actress previously hinted that the movie can be expected to be “pretty dark.”
Wonder Woman centres on the Amazon Diana who leaves her sheltered island home after the American military pilot Steven Trevor, played by Chris Pine, crashes on their shores and tells the Amazons about raging World War I. She decides to abandon her home to stop the conflict and becomes one of the world’s greatest heroes.
The movie’s cast also includes Connie Nielson, Robin Wright, Ewen Bremer and David Thewlis.
Gadot already made her first appearance as the female super hero in 2016’s Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, where her role was highly acclaimed and many fans expressed their wish to give her character more screen time in the next movie.

The character of Wonder Woman was first introduced to comic fans in a DC comic of the same name in 1941. Later, in 1975, she was brought to the screens, famously embodied by Lydia Carter, in the Wonder Woman TV series.
Since the production for the actual movie was started in 1996, it came to several stops, starts and changing of plans during the two decades of developing, until Patty Jenkins eventually agreed to take over the production. Jenkins, whose biggest film to-date is the critically acclaimed crime drama Monster, will direct the movie with a screenplay written by Allen Heinberg and Geoff Johns.
Wonder Woman is set to kick off in UK and Ireland’s cinemas on June 2, 2017.
