Dublin Americana group The Remedy Club have returned with a new single celebrating the birthday of the legendary Phil Lynott today.

They outfit has dropped their take on the Thin Lizzy classic 'Wild One', with all proceeds from the release going to the Irish Cancer Society.

It earned high praise from Scott Gorham, with the Thin Lizzy guitarist calling it "The most beautiful and haunting version of a Thin Lizzy song I've ever heard".

Directed by longtime collaborator of The Remedy Club, Stephen Dempsey, the black and white video features a woman with a Phil Lynott tattoo on her leg as the titular 'Wild One'.

This is all accompanied by the beautiful melancholic cover from the duo, which fits the piece brilliantly.

It's the first video that the band has released since 'Fire and Gasoline', one of the singles from their second album True Hand True Heart.

Hot Press' Jackie Hayden enthused about the record last year, writing, "The Remedy Club might have been Ireland’s best-kept musical secret, but with its nutritious stew of Americana, Country, Roots and Rock, True Hand True Heart should put an end to all that."
