The family drama is being released by Netflix worldwide on October 13.
After appearing a number of low-brow raunchy comedies for Netflix, Adam Sandler's next appearance for the streaming site is considerably more drama-orientated.
The Meyerowitz Stories is directed by indie notable Noah Baumbach ,who clearly remembers the stellar work Sandler put in for Paul Thomas Anderson's Punch Drunk Love, as he's given the funny man a starring role here.
Sandler plays Danny Meyerowitz, another one of Baumbach's white middle aged sad sacks, a frustrated and lonely man who's feels like all of life's crossroads are already behind him. Around him are a typically dysfunctional family consisting of the father Harold (Dustin hoffman) and brother
Matthew(Ben Stiller).

Ben Stiller is a frequent collaborator of Baumbach's and has appeared in the likes of Greenberg and While We're Young.
