After a premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this January, Rebel in the Rye is set for a 15 September release date.

The film will follow the life of American author J.D. Salinger through his youth, his participation as a soldier in WWII and to his publication of The Catcher in the Rye.

Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) will play the young writer and will be joined by Kevin Spacey (House Of Cards), Zoey Deutch (Why Him?), and Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story).
