The film, boasting a star-studded cast, is Anderson's "love letter to journalists" and will hit Irish cinemas in August.
The first trailer for Wes Anderson's star-studded upcoming film 'The French Dispatch' has just arrived. The film arrives in Irish cinemas on August 28.
'The French Dispatch' brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city. The trailer showcases Anderson's signature style of filmmaking -- pastel colour palettes, immaculately framed shots and irreverant dialogue. The massive cast features Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson, just to name a few.
It was also loosely inspired by the real-life story of The New Yorker, who yesterday offered a first look at the film and its aesthetics. 'The French Dispatch' follows Anderson's 2018 animated film Isle of Dogs and is his first live-action film since 2014's Oscar-winning The Grand Budapest Hotel.
