Amy Poehler directs and stars in this comedy, which centres on a friend group’s holiday to Napa, California, to celebrate one of their number’s 50th birthday. Though the six women come ready to revitalize their relationships, it doesn’t take long for these big personalities to clash once the drinks kick in. The film features an all-star cast featuring Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Emily Spivey, Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, Jason Schwartzman and Cherry Jones.
The Wife (13/5/2019)
In this drama, author Joe Castleman (Jonathan Pryce) is set to receive the Nobel Prize in literature – but his wife, Joan (Glenn Close) has a penchant for the craft as well, one pushed down by her experience as an emerging writer in the 1950s. Told both in the characters’ romantic past and their suppressed present, this story explores the pair’s changing relationship with both others and themselves.
