With sold-out dates already lined up in Cork and London, Westlife have now announced a show in Aviva Stadium, Dublin – which will kick off the Ireland and UK leg of a globe-spanning tour.
The UK's & Ireland’s biggest-selling album group of the 21st century, Westlife, have announced a show at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The gig will now open what is shaping up as an extensive 2022 tour – continuing what has been a hugely successful return to music for the (now) four-piece outfit. Tickets for the The Wild Dreams Tour go on sale on Friday 5 November 2021 at 8AM from Ticketmaster.
Westlife's record-breaking 2019 reunion tour saw Shane, Nicky, Markus and Kian play to over 600,000 fans across a whopping 27 countries. The Irish pop heroes kick off their tour next summer performing across Ireland and the U.K. including already sold-out headline shows at London’s Wembley Stadium and Cork’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Fans are promised that the Wild Dreams Tour will see them get closer to Westlife than ever before, as the group belts out all of their greatest hits ‘Swear It Again', ‘Flying Without Wings’ and ‘World of our Own’ as well as, fresh pop anthems from their new album Wild Dreams.
“We are incredibly excited to announce news of The Wild Dreams Tour and to finally get back performing to all of our fans at the UK’s and Ireland’s biggest venues,” the band said in a statement.
“After the last 18 months, this tour means more to us than any that we’ve ever done before. It will be a massive celebration and will bring us closer to our fans than ever before. We’re planning some spectacular shows which will include all of our greatest hits and some special surprises.”

News of the 2022 tour marks the beginning of what promises to be a packed schedule for Westlife. They have just released their new single ‘Starlight’ -–the first track of the highly anticipated new album Wild Dreams which is available for pre-order now.
"It just feels so positive that we're moving forward and we're getting to a place, particularly for the Irish music scene, that shows can come back," Nicky said at their announcement press conference this morning. "The fact that we're getting back on stage, back into rehearsals, that normality has resumed for everybody – brilliant. To be able to go back to a live show like this is phenomenal."
Markus added: "We've sort of kept frustratingly quiet throughout everything because we didn't want to do anything until we knew it was safe and right. We're just really excited to finally be able to celebrate everyone finally being together."
It is worth remembering that Westlife – Shane, Nicky, Markus and Kian – have effectively established themselves as the world’s commercially successful band of the 21st century, having sold over 55 million records worldwide. They are the only band to have had their first seven singles enter the UK chart at No.1. They also have the most singles of any artist to debut at No.1 in the UK. Overall the band have had an incredible 14 No.1 singles, placing them behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles. They have had 33 No.1 albums worldwide, and as a live act they have sold five million concert tickets worldwide – and counting.
