It's like Jurassic Park, but with cowboy robots.
Big budget high concept fiction is usually restricted to the movies, which can exploit a larger budget over a shorter amount of screen time. Not so for HBO, which brought us The Sopranos, The Wire, and Game of Thrones. Budget constraints are less of a problem for the pay per view network, which uses subscription revenue to fund its own shows.
It looks like Westworld will benefit heavily from that pay per view money. It’s got amazing sets, spectacular visuals, and Anthony Hopkins to show for it!

With Westworld’s US premiere date of 2 October less than two weeks away, HBO will likely drop more promotional content to rile up its audiences. Irish audiences can catch the new show on Sky Atlantic on 4 October.
