The acclaimed Irish band will cap off the current edition of the Y&E Series – supported by the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht – with a rare livestream. It is going to be a bit special!
After a spectacular run of performances over the past month and more, we're thrilled to announce burgeoning superstars Wild Youth as our final act of the current edition of the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series – performing live on the Hot Press Instagram at 8.30pm on Saturday, October 3!
Wild Youth featured as cover stars of the Hot Press 'Hot For 2019' Special Issue, a measure of the feeling in the industry at the time that this is a band for the long haul. Since then, Wild Youth have rapidly established themselves as one of the most thrilling acts in the country – as well as making significant strides internationally.
Over the past two years, the band have sold out Dublin's Olympia Theatre, played a standout set on Electric Picnic's Main Stage, and scored a Top 5 position on the Irish Albums Chart with their debut EP The Last Goodbye. Earlier this month, Wild Youth returned with the single 'Next To You' – which has since clocked up over 200,000 streams on Spotify and grabbed a Top 10 spot in the Irish charts.
Mae sure to set up your reminders – Sunday night's show promises to more than a bit special!
Following the success of the original Y&E Series, which ran over the summer, the second edition has once again highlighted the remarkable young and emerging talent that Ireland has to offer in 2020, with 40 brilliant acts performing live on the Hot Press Instagram over 40 consecutive days – thanks to the support of the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht.
