If Black Panther was the coolest hero you have never heard of, M'Baku is the oddest villain you have never heard of.
Black Panther made his debut as a major character in Captain America: Civil War, where he was able to match blows with the good Captain. Unless you were already a fan of superhero comic books, you probably didn’t know about him. Black Panther was created in the sixties by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the duo behind some of your favorite superheroes such as the Avengers, the X-Men, the Hulk, and many others.
Ryan Coogler, the brilliant mind behind Fruitvale Station and Creed, will direct the Black Panther film. Chadwick Boseman will reprise his role as the titular hero. Also joining the cast is Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, who, as you may have guessed from the name, is not a friendly person. You would expect Jordan to be a bit apprehensive about returning to superhero films after his last outing with the disastrous Fantastic Four, but he worked with Coogler as the starring role in Creed, giving an excellent performance. Finally, Winston Duke is joining the cast as M’Baku, the villainous Man-Ape from the comics. Both Killmonger and M’Baku have been major adversaries for Black Panther, so it’s anyone’s guess who will be the main villain.
