Is that the confirmation that the troubled festival will take place?
After cancellation rumours and location problems, Woodstock 50 - the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock '69 - relocated to the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland, according to Bloomberg. The festival was originally set to take place in Watkins Glen, New York but the venue pulled out of hosting the event in June.
Woodstock 50 faced numerous difficulties in the past, with The Black Keys cancelling their headlining slot and the loss of its primary financial partner. There were even rumours that the festival was cancelled due to the complications.
The organisers, however, tried their best to make Woodstock 50 happen and "to honor a cultural icon that changed the way we think about music and togetherness", the website reads. It seems like they succeeded as they found a new investor in Oppenheimer & Co. and secured a new location.

Nevertheless headlining artists such as Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, The Killers, Imagine Dragons and more have yet to confirm that they will play at the new venue. The ticket sale for the festival, that is set to take place from August 16 to 18, also didn't start yet.
