The Magazine has been in the works since 2022, and the exciting new project promises to represent the future of young Dublin’s creative space and all things youthful. In a previous interview, Ewnetu revealed that the magazine is intended to counter growing anti-immigrant and racist views in Ireland.
"yEWth is representative of all Irish youth," Ewnetu told the University Observer. "It shows people you can be black and Irish, Asian and Irish, Slavic and Irish and so on. It's a simple message and it shouldn't even have to be reiterated in this day and age but unfortunately we're living in some pretty shambolic times. I want people to open up their minds and reconsider what it means to be Irish.”
The upcoming launch night for the magazine will feature a range of homegrown DJ talents, including 10000XL, JENTEN and Murchadh.
Tickets for the event taking place Thursday 13th July are sold out, the waitlist can be found here.
