Zachary Quinto to be honoured at Oscar Wilde awards
Zachary Quinto is the latest to join Caitriona Balfe, Glen Hansard, and Martin Short as a recipient at the Oscar Wilde Awards, hosted by JJ Abrams.
Actor Zachary Quinto will be honoured at the Oscar Wilde Awards, the pre-Oscar Oscars for Irish talent. Quinto has most recently appeared as the new Spock in Star Trek, and played the role of journalist Glenn Greenwald in the film Snowden.
US-Ireland Alliance founder Trina Vargo said, “we’re delighted to honor Zachary. He is an Irish American, on his mother’s side, and he lived and worked in Galway for a time during his college years.”
Quinto was nominated for an Emmy award for his work on American Horror Story: Asylum in 2013. He won a Critic’s Choice Award for the same role. Since then he has appeared in the films Margin Call, All Is Lost and A Most Violent Year.
The Oscar Wilde Awards will be held at JJ Abrams' Bad Robot in Santa Monica on February 23.
