Who Apart From England Would You Like To Win The World Cup?
England? All my family’s from Co. Kildare, so I shout for the Republic of Ireland! I’ve a weird, sneaky feeling that the Czech Republic are going to have a really good tournament. Avoid Brazil and Argentina along the way, and they could get to the final.

Who will be the competition’s key player?
Ronaldinho and Messi, who’s potentially the best Argentine player since Maradona. I’d fucking kill to have one of them guys at Old Trafford!

First And/or Most Abiding World Cup Memory?
I always remember vibing off Brazil at Mexico ‘70. Not only were they the best football team of all-time, but the colours of their kit looked amazing to a seven-year-old! The bit I remember best is Brazil beating England 1-0 in the game where Gordon Banks made his wonder-save from Pele.
