"What a phenomenal year for Irish screen talent," CEO of IFTA, Áine Moriarty, expressed.
The Irish Film and Television Academy have just announced the details for the 20th Anniversary IFTA Awards Ceremony.
Scheduled for May 7th, the celebration of Irish media will take place at the new Dublin Royal Convention Centre near Dublin Castle.
Comedian and author Deidre O'Kane will be hosting the festivities for her sixth time, taking a break from her 2023 comedy tour Demented.
“It’s so important to reward Irish talent here at home," said O'Kane on the event. "And I’m very proud to play my part in recognising their work and presenting them with Irish Academy Awards for excellence in their achievements.”
The 20th Anniversary IFTA Awards Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 7 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre.

IFTA's 2022 Best Film winner, The Quiet Girl (An Cailín Ciúin) won 7 IFTA Awards and went on to make history as the first Irish language film to be nominated for an Oscar in the Best International Feature category.
The ceremony and red carpet will be broadcasted by Ireland's national broadcaster RTÉ, with footage of the awards being distributed to over 120 news channels worldwide.
Nominees will be announced at 8.30am (GMT) Tuesday, March 7th.
