Adeel Akhtar, Tracey Ullman, Finn Bennett and Luther Ford join the cast of Netflix’s new spy thriller series, Black Doves.
These actors join Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw, Andrew Buchan, Andrew Koji, Kathryn Hunter, Sam Troughton, Ella Lily Hyland, Ken Nwosu, Gabrielle Creevy and Omari Douglas on the show.
Black Doves is a six-part show which is set in London at Christmas Time. It follows the protagonist, Helen Webb, played by Keira Knightley, who is a quick-witted, down to earth mother, who is also a professional spy.
Webb is married to a politician and is secretly selling his secrets to her spy organisation, the Black Doves. Then, her secret lover Jason, played by Andrew Koji is assassinated.
Webb and her friends, Reed played by Sarah Lancashire and Sam played by Ben Whishaw investigate his death while also dealing with London underworld conspiracies and a geopolitical crisis.

The show was written and created by executive producer Joe Barton. The show will be produced in collaboration with SISTER and Noisy Bear. The series will be directed by Alex Gabassi and produced by Harry Munday.
The series does not yet have an official release date but is expected some time in 2024.
