Andrew Scott has been nominated for Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series in Ripley at the 2024 Emmy awards.
As a producer, he also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
Based on the Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 novel The Talented Mr. Ripley, the series was created, written and directed by Steven Zaillian.
3 Body Problem, which stars Irish actor Liam Cunnigham, was nominated for Best Drama Series. It is adapted from the Chinese novel of the same name, witten by Liu Cixin.

Speaking of the series in a recent interview with Hot Press, Cunningham said: "It's very important the reality of our situation and the reality of our world. I think it’s very important that we drag science into it because it’s the future of the human race.

“The only thing that's gonna save us in our story is the human race coming together with science to try and defeat an existential threat".
Irish costume designer Consolata Boyle also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie Category in Kate Winslet-starring The Regime.
Shōgun and The Bear are leading the way in this year’s Emmys race.
The historical Japan-set epic drama Shōgun received 25 nominations, including Best Drama Series, while The Bear received 23 – including for Best Comedy Series, setting a new record for nominations in a single year in the Comedy category.
