Stream 'Madame X' from the comfort of your own home this fall.
'Queen of Pop' Madonna has announced that a documentary chronicling her 'Madame X' tour will be headed to Paramount+ on October 8th.
Directed by Ricardo Gomes and SKNX –and filmed in Lisbon, Portugal on her 2019-2020 world tour – the documentary will not only take audiences through the stellar show, but bring them behind the scenes in her journey dealing with hip and knee injuries – and ultimately concluding the tour 3 days early in wake of COVID-19 bans on gatherings.
Madonna's 'Madame X' album debuted in 2019 at No. 1 atop the Billboard 200 chart. It was praised for its diverse, experimental sound, combining Latin, trap, and art pop.
In the album, Madonna plays many characters through the persona of 'Madame X': a glamorous, eye-patch wearing secret agent. The album's storyline lends itself to a theatrical performance full of costume changes, multiple sets, backed by 48 performers, as can be seen in the teaser film released on Thursday.
