Elvis, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, will be showing in theatres on June 24.
Baz Luhrmann's hotly anticipated Elvis biopic has returned with its second trailer. The film, which stars Austin Butler as the King of Rock and Roll and Tom Hanks as his enigmatic manager Colonel Tom Parker, will hit theatres June 24.
Telling the tale of Elvis' meteoric rise to fame through the lens of his complicated relationship with Parker, Luhrmann has created a complex, massive and cinematic account of one of the most famous names in history. Told over the course of 20 years, the film delves into the singer's personal and professional relationships, as well as the cultural tides that dominated 1960's America. With Olivia DeJonge starring alongside Butler and Hanks as Priscillia Presley, the film is a no-holds-barred account of Elvis' musical and cultural legacy.
In the new trailer, fans get a deeper look at the pandemonium the singer created — playing a hand in the nation's famed 'loss of innocence.' From sweeping shots of packed crowds to intimate moments shared between him and Priscilla, the trailer reveals the scope of Elvis; one that oscillates between wide social commentary, and up-close-and-personal biography.
From Elvis classics to Doja Cat's new track 'Vegas,' the soundtrack measures both his historic and cultural impact. Set to feature songs from Stevie Nicks, Eminem, Tame Impala, Måneskin and more, the movie will be jam-packed with music, new and old.
