Sheeran‘s highly anticipated - (Subtract) album will be released on May 5th via Asylum/Atlantic. The fourteen-track record was written and recorded by the UK singer and Aaron Dessner (The National) in February last year.
Thematically, the album is about a number of events that have greatly affected Sheeran over the past year and influenced his life. Originally, Dessner and Sheeran wrote over thirty songs for the album, which were eventually shortened to the album's fourteen tracks.
A four-part documentary called Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All was announced earlier this week for release on Disney+ on May 3, 2023. It includes numerous previously unseen videos from Sheeran's personal archive, as well as interviews and performances. The documentary also delves into how his personal experiences shaped him into the artist he is today.
