The songwriter has been involved in the making of the film, however this marks the first time Dylan has spoken publicly about the project.
Bob Dylan has taken to X to share his thoughts on his biopic A Complete Unknown, starring Timothée Chalamet as Dylan.
The song writing legend expressed his admiration for the star and said “Timmy’s a brilliant actor so I’m sure he’s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me.”
He advised fans to read the 2015 book which inspired the film, Dylan Goes Electric by Elijah Wald, after seeing the movie which will reach UK and Irish cinemas in January.
The musician has been involved in the making of the film, but the tweet marks the first time Dylan has spoken publicly about the project which wrapped in late June.
Dylan has been active on X recently, sharing personal anecdotes about bumping into ice hockey team The Buffalo Sabres, and enjoying a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds concert in Paris during his UK and European tour this October and November.

James Mangold will be directing the biopic, whose previous work includes Walk the Line, the biographical drama about Johnny Cash who is portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix.
