To celebrate Women's History Month, the Bob Marley: Legacy mini-documentary series is back with Episode 2: ‘Women Rising’.

The moving and empowering short documentary premiered this morning, featuring interviews with Rita Marley – the matriarch of the Marley family, the guardian of Bob Marley's legacy and a former member of the iconic I Threes. Rita played an integral role in the Wailers' musical development, and was a strong presence and influence in Bob Marley’s life. She's also the founder of the Rita Marley Foundation, which works to eradicate poverty and hunger while empowering communities in Ghana and Jamaica.

‘Women Rising’ also features Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt of the I Threes; Mystic Marley; Donisha Prendergast; academic and writer Isis Semaj-Hall; activist and campaigner Seyi Akiwowo; writer and historian Stella Dadzie; photographer Kim Walker; and more.
