Other films to appear at the festival include Element Pictures' Pillion and My Father's Shadow, as well as The History of Sound starring Paul Mescal.
Bono: Stories of Surrender, a feature-length film based on the U2 frontman's memoir, is set to appear at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
Produced for Apple TV and directed by Andrew Dominik, the film is a "bold visual exploration" of Bono's life, family and faith alongside personal stories of his career as a musician and activist. It will also feature exclusive footage of his one-man tour, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story.
The film has been selected as part of the Cannes Out of Competition category, which features screenings of work that do not compete for the festival's main prize, the Palme d'or.
In the competition lineup, Paul Mescal is set to appear at Cannes in The History of Sound, South African director Oliver Hermanus' festival debut. Set in World War One, Mescal alongside Josh O'Connor record the lives, music and voices of fellow soldiers in the romantic drama.
Dublin-based production company Element Pictures have also been selected for the film festival, with two entries - Pillion and My Father's Shadow.

Starring Alexander Skarsgård, Pillion is based on Adam Mars-Jones' novel Box Hill, which follows a young man in 1975 entering a submissive relationship with a strange, mysterious biker.
My Father's Shadow follows a father and his estranged sons as they travel across Lagos, set among the political unrest of the 1993 Nigerian presidential election crisis.
The 78th Cannes Film Festival will run from May 13 until May 24.
