The Dublin born actor is starring in the upcoming series along with Nicolas Cage
Brendan Gleeson has been cast in a major role in upcoming Amazon Series Spider-Man Noir.
The 2023 Academy Award nominee is believed to be playing the series main villain, though his exact casting has yet to be revealed. Gleeson will be starring alongside Nicolas Cage who plays Spider-Man.
Spider-Man Noir is the story of "an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city's one and only superhero."
Known for his wide range of acting experience, Gleeson has appeared in popular films like Paddington 2 and The Harry Potter series.

His roles have received recognition, as the actor recently received 2023 AACTA International Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin.
With University College Dublin as his alma mater, Gleeson enjoys fiddling, and is an avid supporter of the Irish language.
The actor is also scheduled to be seen in Joker: Folie a Deux which releases in early October. Spider-Man Noir will debut in the U.S. on MGM+’s linear channel and then globally on Amazon Prime Video.
