Brendan Gleeson is set to star opposite Claire Foy in the film adaptation of Helen Macdonald’s bestselling memoir H is for Hawk.
Irish Oscar nominee Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin) and two time Emmy and Golden Globe winner Clair Foy (The Crown, All of Us Strangers) are set to take on leading roles in the film adaptation of Helen Macdonald’s memoir H is for Hawk.
Written for screen by Emma Donoghue, the film will be directed by BAFTA winner Philippa Lowthorpe, who has previously worked with Foy on the hit series The Crown.
A true story, H is for Hawk follows Helen (Foy) as she grieves the death of her father (Gleeson) and sparks an unlikely friendship with a stubborn hawk named Mabel, rediscovering beauty and life through the unique bond.
