In the penultimate episode of the iconic comedy series, Larry David is infectious as always, and he makes no such exception for the Boss... or does he?
In the thick of Curb Your Enthusiasm’s final season, Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance in the series’ penultimate episode.
In the season’s second episode, Springsteen made a cameo on a fake MSNBC broadcast. On the news program, he expressed his admiration for Curb's star Larry David after he was arrested for supplying his pal Leon’s (J.B. Smoove) Auntie Rae with a bottle of water while she waited to vote, violating of an unfortunately real stipulation in the state of Georgia’s Election Integrity Act.
This story develops even further in the latest episode, which sees the Boss arrive at Jeff (Jeff Garlin) and Susie’s (Susie Essman) house for a meal with David and his hosts. After a brief discussion about health inspection grades in the restaurant industry and David’s sexual penchants, Springsteen and David get into a minor argument about whose water glass is whose. When both men test positive for COVID, David is blamed for Springsteen’s cancellation of the final stop on his fictitious farewell tour, releasing an onslaught of anger from the singer's dedicated fan base.
After 25 years, Curb Your Enthusiasm will conclude its run with the series finale this weekend, 7 April, which will be available to stream on NOW.
