After starring in the award-winning series The Bear, Jeremy Allen White is reportedly gearing up to portray Bruce Springsteen in a forthcoming biopic.
American actor Jeremy Allen White, known for his starring roles in Shameless and The Bear, has reportedly been cast to portray Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming film about the creation of his iconic 1982 album Nebraska.
According to Deadline and Variety, Scott Cooper will be writing and directing the biopic with aid from Springsteen and his manager, Jon Landau. Reportedly titled Deliver Me From Nowhere, a screen adaptation of Warren Zane’s novel of the same name, the film will be produced by Scott Stuber, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson of the Gotham Group.
Following Springsteen’s journey of creating his sixth studio album, a darkly minimalist collection produced from his New Jersey bedroom, the film will tell the story of how Nebraska turned the tides in Springsteen world-renowned career.
