Like Oscar-winning Get Out, Us is a social thriller. It was also written by Peele and will be shot entirely in California.
Peele made history as the first African American to win Best Original Screenplay for Get Out at the 2018 Academy Awards.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Moss is yet again nominated for an Emmy for her role as Offred/June in The Handmaid's Tale. In the Hulu series, Moss plays a woman forced to become a surrogate mother under a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship.
The show's socio-political commentary has seen it hailed as a feminist watch by viewers. During the campaign to repeal the Eighth Amendment, protestors staged silent demonstrations dressed in costumes mimicking those of the show's handmaids.
Anna Diop should also do well starring in a social commentary due to her own experiences with racism - the most recent of which have seen her disable the comments on her Instagram profile.
The actress, who was cast as Starfire in DC Universe series Titans, has been on the receiving end of racial abuse suggesting she is too dark to play the orange alien.
Us is set to be released in March 2019.
