Celine Dion shares first single 'Love Again' since revealing neurological diagnosis
Dion's new single 'Love Again' further marks her first release in four years, as her latest album Courage was released in 2019.
The so called "Queen of Power Ballads," Celine Dion is contributing five new songs to the upcoming film Love Again. One of them, the same-titled single 'Love Again', was recently shared. It is Dion's first release since revealing her neurological diagnosis.
In December last year, the singer shared that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called stiff person syndrome. As a result, Dion is experiencing severe physical difficulties, including muscle spasms.
To counteract the disease, she said at the time that she works with sports medicine therapists to rebuild her strength. However, the symptoms of the disease can be alleviated and occur less frequently, but the syndrome is thought to be incurable.

Aside from working on the film's music, the pop icon will also star alongside India actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Outlander actor Sam Heughan. In Love Again, she will play a fictionalised version of herself who helps the journalist Rob Burns (Sam Heughan) meet his soulmate Mira Ray (Priyanka Chopra).
In a press release, Dion said, "I had a lot of fun doing this movie. And to have the privilege of appearing with the beautiful and talented actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in my very first feature film is a gift that I will cherish forever."
Dion continues that the film has a "wonderful feel-good story," while actress Chopra Jonas describes it as an "ode to Celine."
Love Again is scheduled to be released in the US on May 5, 2023, by Sony Pictures Releasing. The film will be directed by James C. Strouse (Grace is Gone, The Incredible Jessica James, The Winning Season) and produced by Basil Iwanyk, who is known for his work on the John Wick franchise.
