Chris Hemsworth returns for Sam Hargrave's Extraction 2
In a new trailer for Netflix's Extraction 2, directed by Sam Hargrave and produced by the Russo brothers' AGBO, Chris Hemsworth reprises the role of the black ops mercenary Tyler Rake
The mercenary protagonist of the 2020 thriller Extraction, Marvel's Thor actor Chris Hemsworth is making a return to the action scene in Sam Hargrave's Extraction 2.
In the first film, Hemsworth's character, the Australian black ops mercenary Tyler Rake, was tasked with rescuing Ovi Mahajan, the son of an imprisoned drug lord, from a rival of his father who attempted to ransom him.
Extraction 2 will follow Rake as he once again is tasked with battling the odds. Since he was severely injured after the first film, Rake must now struggle to protect the family of a notorious Georgian gangster as he breaks them out of prison while tending to old wounds.
The new Netflix film will come out this summer, on June 16th.
Also rejoining Hemsworth in Extraction 2 are Golshifteh Farahani, who is reprising the role of Nik Khan, and Joe and Anthony Russo's AGBO. Joining the cast are Adam Bessa, Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili.
Joe Russo also wrote the film, based on Ande Parks' graphic novel Ciudad, illustrated by Fernando León González.
