The folk artist’s music video is set to feature during the Dublin International Short Film & Music Festival, with screening times and tickets just announced.
In collaboration with Darn Skippy Productions, Irish-based folk artist Christian Wethered’s music video for 'La Madeleine' has released a screening time for the film, which will be included in Dublin’s International Short Film & Music Festival.
The music video, running six minutes in total, will screen at Cineworld on Parnell St, Dublin on October 7 at 8pm. Tickets for the screening are on sale now. The DISFM Festival runs from october 7-9 between two venues, Parnell St. Cineworld and The Sugar Club, which will hold the awards ceremony on the festival’s final day.
La Madeleine is directed by Richard Lennon and shot in Ireland, featuring performance and choreography from Roseanne Lynch. Wethered first premiered the cinematic video in May 2021 on the Hot Press YouTube channel, following the singer-songwriter’s performance on our Lockdown Y&E Series in 2021.
Showcasing his raw vocals and poetic lyricism, the film spotlights universal themes of loss. The video collaboration was picked up by the Live Performance Scheme, which commenced in 2021 and continues to support the development of employment opportunities within culture, creative and music industries and promotes artistic output.
