With the release of another trailer for Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, fans get a new glimpse into the thrilling film's ethically-challenging race to create the atomic bomb
The eagerly awaited Christopher Nolan thriller Oppenheimer has just gotten a new trailer.
"This is a national emergency," it begins. With the muffled audio of an explosion starting, it quickly switches to a black and white clip of Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer walking through a sea of reporters and speaking to the terrifying threat of Nazis armed with bombs.
Between having to incentivise recruitment by building a town for world-renowned scientist's families to stay during the project and the first glimpse at a morose Albert Einstein (Tom Conti), the new Oppenheimer trailer reveals glimpses into the tense and suspenseful race to complete the atomic bomb.
It's not the first time that the Irish actor Cillian Murphy and phenomenal director Christopher Nolan have collaborated: they've previously worked together on films like Dunkirk and Inception.
The thrilling feature also stars Emily Blunt as Kitty Oppenheimer, as well as The Wonder and Puss In Boots: The Last Wish actress Florence Pugh as the psychiatrist Jean Tatlock.
Benny Safdie is the theoretical physicist Edward Teller, Michael Angarano is Robert Serber, and Josh Hartnett plays the American nuclear scientist Ernest Lawrence.

Based on Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwrin's work American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer comes to cinemas July 21st. It will feature a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format film photography.
