The Netflix film hits Irish cinemas on November 8.
Before The Irishman debuts on Netflix on November 27, Scorsese's epic mobster drama also sees a theatrical release. The crime film will be shown in Irish cinemas from November 8 but tickets can already be purchased from today.
Spanning decades, The Irishman stars Robert De Niro as the titular hitman Frank Sheeran who was connected to the Bufalino crime family, specifically Russell Bufalino (played by Joe Pesci). With Al Pacino as Jimmy Hoffa, the film tells the story of the disappearance of the infamous Union President while offering a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organised crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.

The theatrical release of The Irishman ensures that the film can be considered for the Oscars as a completed theatrical run is required to be up for one of the sought-after awards. With Martin Scorsese as director and De Niro, Pacino and Pesci in starring roles, a couple of Oscar nods are very much possible.
