Chris Nolan's Tenet and new Disney adventure Mulan will be among the first new releases shown
Cineworld is planning to reopen all of its cinemas in July including their four floor, 17 screen multiplex in Dublin's Parnell Centre.
"Cineworld currently anticipates that government restrictions related to cinemas will be lifted in each of its territories by July," they say in a statement to investors. "Subject to this and confirmation of the schedule for film releases, Cineworld anticipates the reopening of all of its cinemas in July.
"Cineworld is excited by the great movie line-up to follow the reopening of cinemas, starting with the highly anticipated new Chris Nolan movie Tenet and immediately after that with Mulan, a new Disney adventure movie.
"Cineworld has put in place procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable cinema experience for its employees and customers. Cineworld, as always, greatly believes in the theatrical experience and is fully committed to be the best place to watch a movie.
The London-listen company operates around 9,500 screens worldwide with 7,000-plus of those in the United States.
The news has been poorly received by the Cineworld Action Group, which claims to represent "employees around the UK standing up for fair pay during the Covid-19 outbreak."
In a social media posting, they say: "Staff and customer safety should be a priority and we will not return to an unsafe working environment."

We have heard from the media, not the company, that Cineworld is planning to reopen all UK cinemas in July. Staff and customer safety should be a priority and we will not return to an unsafe working environment. https://t.co/chRKU5k0yE

While Cineworld have yet to outline their social distancing plans, rival Irish and UK chain Vue revealed earlier this month that: “We have been liaising closely with authorities across Europe to design operating procedures that can provide the degree of social distancing required and allow an experience for our customers and staff that is as safe as possible.
“We look forward to working further with the government and the UK Cinema Association to demonstrate the specific steps we will take in the UK, including physically isolating family groups through our online booking systems, staggering film times to maintain social distancing and operate responsibly, and introducing enhanced cleaning and employee-protection protocols.”
