"My heart goes out to Pammy," she wrote on Facebook.
Courtney Love hit out at the forthcoming Pam And Tommy TV series, which is set to star Lily James and Sebastian Stan, respectively, and intends to focus on Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s marriage, including the leak of their sex tape.
Baywatch star Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Lee were married in 1995, just four days after the couple first met, and were divorced in 1998. A sex tape the couple made was stolen by an electrician who installed a security system for Lee, named Rand Gauthier. The tape was subsequently posted online.
Love shared her opinions on the Hulu series, which has no release date at time of writing, in a Facebook post published yesterday (May 16). She called the show “fucking outrageous”, commenting that she had been in the studio with bandmates Patty Schemel and Melissa Auf der Maur when the sex tape was leaked to the public.
“The lone women in many recording studios in LA where all / ALL! The staff engineers / producers / owners / were watching the sex tape with huge schadenfreude,” she wrote. “Guffaws, it was disgusting. I banned anyone discussing it.”
Love added that the show had approached her to ask permission to use one of her Rolling Stone covers.

“I said ‘fuck no’,” she said. “Shocked. Gentleman don’t approve this sort of thing. My heart goes out to Pammy. Further causing her complex trauma. And shame on Lily James whoever the fuck she is. #vile.”
According to an unnamed friend who spoke to The Sun, Anderson has "no intention of watching this God awful show".
Lee will be played in the series by Marvel star Sebastian Stan, and Seth Rogen will play the role of Gauthier. Nick Offerman, Taylor Schilling and Andrew Dice Clay are also set to appear.
