A crew member died on the set of Wonder Man after an accident on a high walkway.
At Radford Studio Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, crew member Juan Osorio died on a high walkway. 41-year-old Osorio was a light technician on set. At the time of his death they were not filming.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has launched an investigation into what happened on set.
A Marvel spokesperson released a statement saying that “our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”
Osorio was working on the set of Wonder Man which stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley which has been delayed in its production due to the strikes in Hollywood.
The show will premiere on Disney+ and will focus on Simon Williams who gains superhuman powers due to chemical and radiation treatments that give him superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility and reflexes.
Wonder Man’s origin places him as a villain, however he takes a turn for the better and eventually joins the Avengers.

This event follows a multitude of other deaths and injuries on film and TV sets. While these events used to happen sparingly, they appear to be occurring more and more frequently.
Alec Baldwin is now facing charges with involuntary manslaughter for a fatal shooting on the film set of Rust where the gun the Baldwin was given on the western set went off, hitting and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
Back in June of 2023, crew members were injured on the set of the sequel to Gladiator. On set there was an explosion that sent six crew members to the hospital and had to be treated for serious burns.
Previously in 2018 a crew member was hit by a car that was being driven by a colleague while putting down traffic cones in Brooklyn, New York while working on the Starz TV show Power.
