Disney seeking dancers in Ireland to star in major Enchanted sequel
The casting call from Walt Disney Studios in Dublin have requested "technically trained dancers" for the roles.
Walt Disney Studios have sent out a major casting call for Irish talent, believed to be for the planned Enchanted sequel which is due to start shooting in Ireland this spring or summer.
The popular 2007 fantasy film will see Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey return to reprise the roles in the updated sequel, titled Disenchanted.
It's a huge budget production with Disney betting big on the follow-up 14 years after the original.
"We are looking for Irish technically trained dancers for an upcoming musical feature film to be shot in Ireland," says Disney in a statement.
"Seeking dancers to play characters ranging from 18 years to 60 years - all ethnicities, shapes and sizes are welcome".
Rehearsals are due to start on this new Disney film in March - pandemic restrictions allowing. The casting is being run by a well-known Irish movie and theatre choreographer.
For more information on casting, email [email protected] and include a dance CV, headshot, dance reel, location (city), phone number and email address.
Recent Walt Disney Studios hits included animated movie Soul (with Pixar) and the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid with Halle Bailey and Javier Bardem.
