Dolly Parton is set to premiere her new album Rockstar in cinemas worldwide ahead of the album release on November 17th
The singer's 49th studio album Rockstar is set for a November 17th release, featuring collaborations with a variety of rock musicians, marking Parton's first foray into the rock n' roll genre.
The 77-year old country musician surprised the nation last week after making a surprise appearance via video call on RTÉ Radio 1's Liveline to chat with Katie Hannon.
Dolly Parton was on the show to promote her new book, Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones, an illustrated celebration of Parton's style through an era of personal stories and 450 photographs, as well as her upcoming album, Rockstar.
In an announcement made via the star's Instagram, Parton said that to celebrate the launch of her new album, the singer is releasing a series of 'first listen fan events', in cinemas and theatres worldwide on November 15th and 16th, ahead of the album's release on the 17th.

The screening will also include an exclusive interview with the icon, behind-the-scenes footage, special performances recorded for the screenings and more. According to Rolling Stone, the screening will include a previously unseen performance of ‘Circle of Love’ and a rare performance of Parton’s ‘9 to 5’.
Cinemas across Ireland will be hosting the listening event, from Castlebar to Dublin, with tickets for the November 15th and 16th film event can be purchased here.
Rockstar features a mammoth 30 track list and collaborations from industry greats ranging from Jimmy Page to Stevie Nicks.
