The Emmy-winning TV show Euphoria postponed as HBO hopes for 2025 continuation
The highly anticipated third season of HBO's acclaimed drama series Euphoria faces further delays, casting uncertainty over its future as filming has been postponed indefinitely. While HBO reaffirmed its commitment to delivering an exceptional season, saying, “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season. In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
The third season was set to film in Dublin, with rumours suggesting locations like The Long Hall and Copper Face Jacks as shooting spots.

The Long Hall's manager expressed surprise at the news, saying, "We have had no approach from anybody to do it. I’ve had no contact from anyone in production." Copper Face Jacks proposed their idea for a potential scene, "The girls get a table, bottles are flowing, Rue and Jules soak in the tunes on the dance floor while Maddie and Cassie cause a scene in the girls toilets"
The decision to postpone production comes amid a backdrop of challenges, including script adjustments and the tragic passing of Angus Cloud, who portrayed local drug dealer Fez, in July 2023.

With talents such as Zendaya (Dune: Part Two), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Sydney Sweeney (Barbarella), and Hunter Schafer (Cuckoo) pursuing other roles, there had already been speculation that HBO would have trouble scheduling season three.
The postponement extends an already considerable gap between seasons, with the second season airing in 2022 and the projected return now pushed back to 2025, at the earliest. Speculation regarding the narrative direction of Season 3 has circulated, with rumours suggesting a potential time jump to accommodate the ageing cast members, many of whom are no longer teenagers despite their characters being high school students.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon in January, Elordi joked that Season 3 would have to take place in the future, otherwise it would “seem like a weird bit.”
