Festival happening in the desert where Star Wars was filmed
Party like it's a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
The September the festival Les Dunes Electronique will take place in the desert where the iconic Star Wars films were shot.
The desert in question is Ong Jemel near Neftia, Tunisia, more widely known as its galactic counterpart Mos Espa aka the hometown of Luke Skywalker.
The festival was founded in 2014 but has not taken place in the past three years, it will return this September promising 30 hours of "uninterrupted music".
The festival is to showcase a range of Tunisian, French and international electronic musicians although the line-up is yet to be confirmed.
The information on the official ticketing site states: “The location of this 30-hour rave is like none other, with sand dunes and traditional Tunisian domed houses in the backdrop of the festival’s two stages, which will host 30 of the best acts from Tunisia and the global underground electronic music scene."
The festival will take place from September 21-22 and tickets are priced at €42.50, snatch them up here.
Disney promises three more Star Wars films in the next eight years, according to their film release schedule up until 2027.
