The drama will air on Channel 4 globally and on Netflix outside of the U.K. and Ireland in the New Year.
Formerly called Jerusalem, the new Channel 4/Netflix drama Traitors follows Feef Symonds, a British civil servant who agrees to spy on her own government for the Americans during the aftermath of WWII as Britain tries to re-establish itself in a new world order.
Feef is played by Emma Appleton (The End of the F***ing World, Clique) while Matt Lauria from Friday Night Lights plays her American lover Peter. Other cast members include Bodyguard's Keely Hawes, and A Streetcat Named Bob actor Luke Treadaway.
The six-part spy thriller was created by multiple award-winning playwright and screenwriter Bash Doran known for her work on Boardwalk Empire, Looming Tower and Masters of Sex). Traitors will be Doran's first original commission for British TV which will air on Channel 4 in Ireland/UK early in the New Year.
