Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Jamie Dornan and Daryl McCormack are among those nominated at the 2024 National Television Awards in the UK.
Irish actors Nicola Coughlan, Jamie Dornan, Louisa Harland and Daryl McCormack are among the longlisted nominees for Drama Performance at this year’s UK National Television Awards (NTA).
Derry Girls co-stars Coughlan and Harland have been nominated for their roles in Bridgerton and Renegade Nell respectively, while Dornan is recognised for The Tourist and McCormack is up for The Woman in the Wall.
Fellow longlist nominees include Jeremy Allen White for his role as Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto in The Bear, The Morning Show’s Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and David Tennant, for his brief return to Doctor Who in honour of the show’s 60th anniversary alongside fellow nominee Ncuti Gatwa who took over as the 15th Doctor.

Renegade Nell and The Woman in the Wall are also longlisted in the New Drama category, alongside such shows as Baby Reindeer, One Day and A Gentleman in Moscow.
In the April issue of Hot Press, Renegade Nell’s Louisa Harland spoke with Paul Nolan about her experiences on set, saying :“I just felt so lucky to get the opportunity to do something so different from myself, with all the challenges that go with it.”

The Tourist, which stars Jamie Dornan, is nominated for Returning Drama alongside the Belfast police series Blue Lights.
In the Comedy category, Coughlan’s Channel 4 show Big Mood, Mrs Brown’s Boys and the Cork hit series The Young Offenders are also longlisted.
The comedy series LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland, hosted by Graham Norton, is also among the longlisted nominees for The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.
The NTA shortlist will be revealed in August when the final round of voting begins.
British comedian Joel Dommett will return to host the TV awards on 11 September at London’s O2 arena, broadcast live on ITV.
