The popular British comedy is back this Christmas after ending in 2019 with an unanswered marriage proposal.
The beloved British TV sitcom Gavin and Stacy is slated to return for a Christmas special on the BBC five years after its dramatic ending in 2019.
A brainchild of James Corden and Ruth Jones, the comedy traces the love story of Gavin and Stacy, played by Matthew Horne and Joanna Page, as they navigate family, friends and the trek from Essex to Wales.
The show ran for three seasons from 2007 to 2010, returning nine years later for a ratings-topping holiday special that left audiences on the edge of their seat with an unanswered marriage proposal.

Skyrocketing to 17.1 million views by New Years, the Gavin and Stacey special was the most popular scripted programme of the decade, winning the impact award at the National Television Awards the following year.
With a new Christmas special in the pre-production stages, set to film over the summer, Gavin and Stacey fans will finally get the answers they’ve been waiting for with a glimpse of the iconic cast five years later.
