Fermoy locals are livid after what has been said about the town on the popular chat show.
Fermoy, Co. Cork, has been described as a "horrible town" on The Graham Norton Show by a guest on the red chair segment of the show.
The comments have left town locals outraged as it paints the Irish town in a bad light.
The Scottish woman who claims to have lived in the town for 20 years described her dislike for the place, even going as far as saying, "It’s got a bridge if people want to jump off it."
The Irish host attempted to stand up for the town, stating that they have "got a giant pencil in it,” in reference to the large pencil in the town which is a signpost for the former Faber-Castell factory.
Local Fine Gael councillor Noel McCarthy said: “We are horrified at the way our town was described. To think our town would be portrayed like that by someone who was living here is terrible."

“Fermoy has a lot to offer and won the IBAL Cleanest Town in 2018 and also in 2007.”
McCarthy and the local Tidy Towns committee, have both said they will be writing into the BBC show to complain.
Many people from the town have since contacted the councillor with one woman even crying over the comments.
