A Bowie biopic without Bowie music?
Following Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman, another biopic about a UK legend is in the works: Johnny Flynn plays David Bowie in a new music biopic called Stardust, after the singer's most famous alter ego.
Here's the first photo of the actor as the late musician:

The synopsis of the biopic reads: "Meet David before Bowie. One of the greatest icons in music history; But who was the young man behind the many faces? In 1971, a 24 year old David Bowie (Johnny Flynn) embarks on his first road trip to America with struggling publicist Ron Oberman (Marc Maron), only to be met with a world not yet ready for him."

Johnny Flynn is the lead singer and songwriter of the band Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit. He previously played young Albert Einstein in the TV series Genius and starred in films such as Beast and Clouds of Sils Maria.
Stardust also stars Jena Malone of Hunger Games fame as well as comedian and actor Marc Maron, who plays Sam Sylvia in Netflix's GLOW.
Although it's a music biopic, Stardust won't feature any of Bowie's songs, as confirmed by his son Duncan Jones who took to Twitter to voice his disapproval of the movie.
He wrote: "I'm not saying this movie is not happening. I honestly wouldn't know. I'm saying that as it stands, this movie won't have any of dad's music in it, & I can't imagine that changing. If you want to see a biopic without his music or the families blessing, that's up to the audience."

Stardust doesn't have a release date yet.
