Here's what's new on Netflix this weekend: drag queens, superheroes and more
The streaming service's newest additions include Wonder Woman, a buddy comedy about a drag queen and competitive cheerleading.
Not sure what to watch this weekend? We've got you covered with the latest Netflix additions.
Legendary drag queen RuPaul stars in new comedy series AJ and the Queen as "a down-on-her-luck drag queen travelling across America in a van with a tough-talking 10-year-old stowaway."
2017's Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine finally hits the streaming service. The film retells the classic comic book story of an Amazonian warrior princess who leaves her sheltered home to put a stop to the devastating war in the outside world.
Netflix roots itself back into reality with Cheer, a six-part documentary series following the competitive cheerleaders of Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas, a team with 14 National Championship titles already under their belt. "The stakes on the mat are high, but for these athletes, the only thing more brutal than their workouts and more exceptional than their performances are the stories of adversity and triumph behind the team members themselves."
On a sweeter note, season 2 of Zumbo's Just Desserts also joins the new line-up. Cohosts Adriano Zumbo and Rachel Khoo return to the Dessert Factory to judge impossible cakes, amazing confections and other fantastic sweets.
Other titles include animated Chinese hit Scissor Seven and season 2 of DC Comics' Titans.
