If you are a parent or a classic movie lover, chances are you've already availed of the hundreds of hours of streaming content available on Disney+. But in case you haven't yet heard, on February 23rd, Disney+ launched its latest streaming venture in a highly-anticipated effort to give us thousands more hours of binge-able streaming content: Star on Disney+. This new element of the platform offers everything from originals to well-loved TV shows, classics and modern films, and will no doubt see folks in Ireland well and truly through the lockdown!

It can be difficult to know where to start, so here are just a few more of the most anticipated new television show releases now available on the platform – from action-packed spy shows to witty teen horror-comedies, there's something for everyone on Star on Disney+.

Alias (2005)

Jennifer Garner plays young spy Sydney Bristow in this J.J. Abrams series, which follows her infiltrating a dangerous underworld, discovering family secrets, hidden agendas, and ultimately love. The adventure and intrigue of this deadly lifestyle explodes in this high octane, contemporary series that also stars Bradley Cooper and Victor Garber.

Glee (2009)

Ryan Murphy's hugely successful, long-running television series about a group of students involved in a high school show choir club earned accolades for its fast-paced, witty writing and made TV stars of its whole cast, some of whom were already well-respected on the Broadway scene and others who were relative newcomers. Starring Lea Michele, Diana Agron, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison and more, these talented youngsters who dream of stardom are ambitious, but struggle with life in the real world.

Scream Queens (2016)

Another all-star smash hit from the Ryan Murphy catalogue, Scream Queens stars Emma Roberts, the one and only Ariana Grande, Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Billie Lourd, Lea Michele and more. The first season of the genre-bending comedy horror anthology series revolves around a group of sorority sisters, and a college campus that has been rocked by a series of murders.

Ugly Betty (2006)

Betty Suarez is smart, tough and tenacious, but also sensitive and loving. The fact that she isn't traditionally attractive holds her back from getting the job she wants, initially. But when fashion magazine Mode's management is in flux, Betty is hired as an assistant to inexperienced editor-in-chief Daniel – after his father finds him in a compromising position with his secretary on his first day. The series, created by Silvio Horta and Fernando Gaitán and produced by Salma Hayek, went on to win lead actress America Ferrara and the shows writers Primetime Emmy Awards in 2007.
