The winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony in May.
The nominations for the 2023 Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) Awards have been revealed – featuring 28 categories across Film and Drama.
Leading the way is Bad Sisters, which has scored an impressive 12 nominations. The acclaimed Dublin-based series is followed closely by The Banshees of Inisherin, with 11 nominations.
Paul Mescal and Colin Farrell are each in the running for both Lead Actor (Film) and Supporting Actor (Film).

In the Original Music category, meanwhile, Daithí, Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Stephen Rennicks, Irene Buckley and Linda Buckley, and Sarah Lynch have all received nods.
There were also notable nominations for Aisha, The Wonder, The Fabelmans, The Batman, Elvis, and Derry Girls – all of which have been the subject of recent Hot Press interviews and features.
The nominations were shortlisted by Irish Academy members, as well as specialist jury panels of industry experts from around the world.
The winners will be announced at the upcoming 20th Anniversary IFTA Awards ceremony on May 7 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. The event, hosted by Deirdre O'Kane, will be broadcast by RTÉ.
“What an exciting time right now for the Irish screen industry," says IFTA CEO Áine Moriarty. "This superb line-up of Nominees in the running for Irish Academy Awards, showcases to the world the high calibre of acting, filmmaking and storytelling we have in this country. The Irish Academy is proud to acknowledge and reward their great work and we look forward to celebrating their achievements at the Ceremony."
Catherine Martin, the Minister for Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, has also congratulated the nominees and the Irish Academy.
"This is a really exciting time for the Film and TV Industry," she comments, "and the IFTA awards night on 7th May will be a night full of glamour, excitement, and most importantly, a celebration of the incredible talent we are so lucky to have in this country.”
