Imelda May returns to the theatre world in popular one-woman play
Irish singer Imelda May is gearing up for an anticipated return to the world of theatre as she prepares to reprise her role in the one-woman play, Mother of All The Behans. Following the success of last summer's sold-out performances at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, May will once again step into the shoes of Kathleen Behan, the mother at the heart of the production.
Adapted for the stage by director Peter Sheridan from Brian Behan’s book, Mother of All The Behans offers a glimpse into the life of Kathleen Behan, a figure rooted in Irish folklore and social history. Imelda May’s portrayal of Kathleen received applause for its authenticity, prompting demand for an encore performance.
